The Basics

I just did a post over at Scrapdango using Basic Grey's Basics line!  Be sure to check it out!  Here's a little sneak peek.  This is a card I created using 2 Sketches 4 You.  I hadn't done any of their weekly sketches in over a year and it was fun to play again!

Sheer Card

Here is the card I promised you last night! I made this card using the She Said kit from A Walk Down Memory Lane and this week's sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You. It was fun to play along again! I don't think I had since August! They're always such great sketches! Here's the sketch and then the first picture is of the card open and then I am showing it to you closed because it matches the sketch better closed!

Classes at church & another 2S4Y card!

Last Friday we did a whole day of scrapbooking at my church. My friend asked me to teach a couple classes. We did a card organizer with a set of 3 cards in the morning and a mini album with the theme "A week in the life..." in the evening. There were a lot of first time scrappers there so I am glad I kept it simple! Here they are!

Isaac loves to draw! A couple weeks before the class, I started having him use a different medium to do a picture each night. I then scanned them, added text to explain his picture (they are great but some of them we'll never know what they are later!), and then sent them to be printed as 4x6 prints.Oops...I have put off the journaling as usual! =)

I am almost done with the one for Erin! I did a week of zzzzzzzzz's for her!

Here's my latest card for the 2Sketches4You blog! I knew I wanted to make a card for Isaac...he turns 5 tomorrow! When I saw this week's sketch I wasn't sure about using it because I thought it was a little girly with the scallops but it was a good challenge for me to make it boyish! I like how it turned out! Here's their sketch and then my take on it!

Another 2S4Y card

As the summer comes to a close, things are just getting busier! Tadd has started XC and now things get crazy for him! Yesterday was the crop at my church where I taught 2 classes. I'll post those pictures tonight. For now, here is a card I managed to get done at the crop!

2 Cards

These are 2 cards I did for a design team submission that I did not get so I am posting them!

Not much creating going on this week and none next week! We are getting ready to take 29...yes 29...teenagers camping for a week. Tadd coaches xc and we take his team (well, part, he actually has 70 on his team!) camping every summer! It is our family, another family close to our ages with 2 kids, and 2 moms of the teens, and 29 teenagers! Some think we are crazy but these are really good kids and the trip is a ton of fun!

Sketch #5 and My Birthday!

I am having a lot of fun doing the sketches at 2sketches4you! This is my attempt this week! I also tried out for their design team! Supposed to hear back by the 26th...just happens to be my birthday!

My birthday present from Tadd this year is a Cricut Expression! He NEVER lets me pick out my present or even let me hint as to what I want but this year he didn't have any ideas and we were talking about die-cut machines and he told me to get the big one and it could be my present! I am so excited to play with it! He hasn't let me open it yet even though I went and bought it last week! We're going to be at the beach on my b-day but he has it wrapped and sitting it our "to-pack" pile so maybe I'll play there!
