2 Cards

These are 2 cards I did for a design team submission that I did not get so I am posting them!

Not much creating going on this week and none next week! We are getting ready to take 29...yes 29...teenagers camping for a week. Tadd coaches xc and we take his team (well, part, he actually has 70 on his team!) camping every summer! It is our family, another family close to our ages with 2 kids, and 2 moms of the teens, and 29 teenagers! Some think we are crazy but these are really good kids and the trip is a ton of fun!

Sketch #5 and My Birthday!

I am having a lot of fun doing the sketches at 2sketches4you! This is my attempt this week! I also tried out for their design team! Supposed to hear back by the 26th...just happens to be my birthday!

My birthday present from Tadd this year is a Cricut Expression! He NEVER lets me pick out my present or even let me hint as to what I want but this year he didn't have any ideas and we were talking about die-cut machines and he told me to get the big one and it could be my present! I am so excited to play with it! He hasn't let me open it yet even though I went and bought it last week! We're going to be at the beach on my b-day but he has it wrapped and sitting it our "to-pack" pile so maybe I'll play there!

Necklaces & Matching Shoes

Well, as if I need one more thing to do...I made these necklaces! They are bamboo tiles. The large one, I colored one of my dollar stamps with some copic markers and stamped it. The Hello Kitty, I cut off a piece of pp, glued on and then covered in Paper Glaze! So fun! Been thinking of venturing into the whole etsy shop thing and this is one more thing I could do for it! What do you think? What would you charge for something like this?

And I just love this photo! Erin and I have matching shoes and I couldn't resist taking a picture! Sorry about the glowing white legs...we are in Oregon though! =)

Friendship Cards

These cards I did for the PaperCrafts Gallery Idol competition. Now that it is over and I did not make it, I can post them! I was happy with all of them and now my friends will be getting some cards in the mail!



Oh, and I was the Flavor of the Week at PaperPopsicles! Pretty exciting!

BFF

I have been participating in the Ultimate Summer Challenge over at Scrapbooks Etc. They give a new challenge each week and then the finalists will compete against each other for $2500! WOW! This week was to alter embellishments and use them on a layout. I've had this picture of Erin and Eva sitting on my desk for a while and every time I try to do a layout...I am not happy! This time though I did it! And I really like the results! For the altered embellishments I painted the Erin and Eva cb letters and then added BG border rub-ons. I wanted a shinier look so I added paper glaze over it. Also painted the bff and added glaze. The paper frill was white so I inked it pink. Also added stickles to the flowers just to make it a bit more girly!
