Where have I been?

It has been a long time since I posted anything!  A lot has gone on...some good and some not.  The day after my last post, we lost one of Tadd's runners.  He was on a hike and slipped and fell and passed away.  It was (and still is) devastating.  Victor was an incredible young man and was loved by so many including our family.  He is missed.

After Victor's memorial, we hit the road for a 10 day trip down to the Redwoods.  It was a wonderful family trip and a great way to start the healing of losing Victor.  We hit Lassen Nat'l Park, Redwoods Nat'l Park and then headed up 101 through Oregon.  We ended the driving part at our beach house in Manzanita where my parents met us for 3 days including the Fourth of July!  Just wonderful!

After being home for 2 days (just long enough to get some laundry done) we headed back down to the coast to Fort Stevens State Park for camping with some friends.  This was our 9th time camping with them in the the last 12 years!  The three years we missed were for a broken leg and a pregnancy! :)  Great time had by all, as is every year!

I am ready to be home at least for a little while...until we head out on our next adventure!  Hoping to get some scrapbooking in but having some creativity issues tonight!  I hope the juices start flowing tomorrow!  Hope you all are enjoying your summer!

Gorgeous pics, looks like you enjoyed yourselves. Still sad we didn't get to meet up, maybe next time. :)

What's that big ruined thing on the beach, am old ship? Whatever it is, it looks cool. My fave photo up there.

Gorgeous photos Lynn. Love that old wreck--the Peter Eiserdale I think it's called, although no idea on the spelling. Love the pic of the kids at the fort.
